A wide Victorian sterling silver bangle, engraved across the front with a horseshoe — Victorian shorthand for good fortune — flanked by a swallow in flight and sprays of wildflower in foliate engraving.
The horseshoe had to point upward, the superstition went, so the luck wouldn't run out. The engraving is crisp, the proportions generous.
