Bespoke Commissions
Some people come to me with a stone — inherited, collected, or waiting for something to be done with it. Some come with an idea, or a broken piece, or a photograph of something they once saw. The pieces below are examples of what that looks like when it's done.
I work in gold, silver, platinum, and lacquer enamel. I set diamonds and precious and semi-precious stones, and I'll work with your own stones when the piece calls for it.
Commissions start with a conversation — by video call, or in person if you're in New York.
Susan
A tennis necklace built from her mother's diamonds — rings Susan had been given over the years but never worn. Every stone a different size. The asymmetry is the design. Bezel-set, yellow gold.

Tamar had a pair of earrings with a peridot and a citrine and not much else. I reset the stones into my bubble setting and added a diamond at the bottom — a little sparkle, a little lift. Triple drop, all three stones bubble-set, in gold.

Patty's mother left two daughters a stone. Her sister said no. A golden yellow beryl set in a neo-Georgian mount of yellow gold. Hand-built, designed to let the stone do what it's been waiting to do for a generation.

A memorial pendant for Inna, for her mother Svetlana. Based on my Chassidic BH pendant, adapted for her. Double-sided, silver and gold, hand-painted enamel and diamonds. The back is engraved in Russian: "Always together."

A green tourmaline reset into a neo-Georgian halo of multicolored sapphires and diamonds. Most of my neo-Georgian rings have diamond surrounds — this one was designed to be fun. Every stone in the halo was chosen with Tamar in mind.

A hand-carved citrine set in gold and diamonds, drawn from a Fabergé Rococo egg. Based on a ring I made for myself years ago for a milestone birthday — Denisa's is not a copy, but the same idea carried forward.
